Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste Collection

GFL Environmental Inc. is the city's contracted hauler for solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables, each collected once weekly. Residents look up their pickup day on an ArcGIS web map.

Key facts

Provider: GFL Environmental Inc. (gflenv.com), phone 386-222-0693 or 386-626-7195.
Set materials out by 6 AM on collection day; once-weekly service each for garbage, recycling, and yard waste.
Carts: garbage 1x 96-gal or 64-gal cart; recycling 1x 64-gal cart.
Yard waste: up to 1 cubic yard per week; pieces max 4 ft long, 6 in diameter, 75 lbs.
Bulk: up to 3 cubic yards picked up weekly on the same day as solid waste pickup.
Extras: 2 free appliance pickups per year (must schedule) and 4 free tires per year.
Holiday policy: collection continues on all holidays EXCEPT MLK Jr. Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day — 'Normal schedule trash removal will be done on the following business day.'
